Accommodation
Conference participants should book their own accommodation. There are many possibilities for accommodation both on and in the vicinity of the University Park campus, and in central Nottingham (from where it is just a 20 minute bus ride to the University).
Rooms are available in Lenton and Wortley Hall on the University Park Campus for £36 per person per night (including a Full English breakfast). To book, please follow this link, enter the dates and enter our conference Promotion Code _14834GERMAN. (Note that the rooms aren't en suite; each room shares a bathroom with one other room.) Lenton and Wortley Hall is about 10 minutes' walk from Highfield House.
A rather more expensive on-campus option is the Orchard Hotel, located at the East Midlands Conference Centre on the edge of the University Park campus, and about 10-15 minutes' walk from Highfield House.
About half a mile from campus, and (usually) cheaper than the Orchard Hotel, is the Wollaton Park Travelodge.
The Experience Nottinghamshire website, in addition to providing a range of suggested free time activities in and around Nottingham (should you have a few spare hours before or after the symposium), has information on booking accommodation in local bed & breakfasts, hotels and hostels. There are a couple of Premier Inn hotels in Nottingham which are located either centrally (Nottingham City Centre, Nottingham Arena) or close to a bus route that leads to the University (Nottingham Castle Marina), there's a centrally located Ibis which is about ten minutes' walk from Broadmarsh Bus Station, from where you can catch a bus to the University, and a centrally located Holiday Inn Express.
