Venue
The conference will be held in Highfield House, which is number 10 on this map. The conference dinner will take place in the Council Room of the Trent Building (number 11 on the map).
Getting to the venue
The symposium is taking place on the University of Nottingham's University Park campus. Details of how to get to University Park can be found here.
For information on trains (either to Nottingham or to Beeston, a smaller station which is fairly close and linked by bus to the university), visit National Rail Enquiries.
Once in Nottingham, you'll find various bus routes which either run past the University Park campus, or actually drive through the campus:
If you're arriving by plane at East Midlands Airport, Trent Barton's Skylink bus departs from outside the airport building and past the university (and into Nottingham).
At the University
If you have some time to fill, the University Park campus is very pleasant to walk around, and offers a number of pleasant cafes, many of which are located in the Portland Building (number 15 on the campus map; less than 5 minutes' walk from Highfield House), a building which, incidentally, played an important role in 1970s music history.

Once in Nottingham, you'll find various bus routes which either run past the University Park campus, or actually drive through the campus:
- Nottingham City Transport's number 34 (a.k.a. Orange Line), from central Nottingham, comes right onto campus at 6 minute intervals for most of the day: it stops near the Portland Building (number 15 on the campus map; the bus stops are the orange/black dots).
- Trent Barton's Indigo Line (every 5 minutes) and Route 18 (every 30 minutes) both run past the campus along University Boulevard; the "Paddling Pool" stop is most convenient for Highfield House. On the campus map, the "Paddling Pool" stop is down at the bottom of the page and marked by two dots (indicating the stops at either side of University Boulevard) to the left of the Highfield Sports Ground (and before the road junction). Once you've alighted at "Paddling Pool" you'll walk up through the park (with Florence Boot Hall to your left), and turn right onto the footpath just after Cut Through Lane. Walk uphill along the path and after a couple of minutes you'll find our venue, Highfield House, on your right. (For navigational purposes, the large white building with a clock tower is the Trent Building, which is number 11 on the map.)
